Advance notice of AGM

The Old Sheriff Court Residents’ Association will hold its Annual General Meeting on Thursday 31st October 2019 in the Scottish Youth Theatre. All owners in the development (residential, commercial and cultural) are automatically members of the Residents’ Association, and are warmly invited to attend the AGM.  The purpose of the Residents’ Association is to promote and protect the interests of all owners of residential and commercial properties in the development, on matters concerning the management and maintenance of the building and its associated common areas. The Association also represents the proprietors with regard to the contract with the building’s factors.

The AGM will review the major projects underway in the building, as well as the finances of the building for the period from 12 July 2018 to 11 July 2019. The other activity at the AGM is to appoint a new Committee to act on behalf of the whole Residents’ Association in their dealings with the factor. Over the last 18 months the Committee has made great progress on major issues such as gas energy billing, boiler maintenance and repair, communications, and short-term letting.

The existing Committee stands down at the AGM, but is eligible for re-election. The committee desperately needs new members to help shape the future of the development, and to work with the factors to continually improve the built environment and common areas.

We sincerely hope that you will consider getting involved in the management of the building – it is in everyone’s interest that we work together. Please have a read at the roles and responsibilities of the Committee and if you are interested in being involved, drop the Secretary a note at info@oldsheriffcourtglasgow.org.uk.
