The Old Sheriff Court Residents Association works closely with the development’s factors to maintain and improve the fabric and condition of the building, and ensure the building is an attractive and welcoming place to visit and stay.

Voting membership is open to all residential and commercial owners. Non-owning residents are welcome to attend association meetings, but will not be able to vote.

Association meetings are advertised via this website, Facebook, our distribution list, and notices on the building notice board. We are working on hosting meetings via Zoom, to make meetings more accessible to non-resident owners.

Committee

The Residents’ Association Committee is elected at the Association’s Annual General Meeting, normally held in late October. Once elected, they serve for one year, but additional help is always welcome, as there are a number of ongoing projects.

As well as regular committee meetings, they arrange meetings for the whole development as required, to which everyone who lives here or who owns property in the building is welcome to attend (if there’s a vote,  only owners are eligible to take part in that).

The Committee give freely of their time and their skills, and volunteer for their roles alongside their day to day jobs and other commitments. All they ask in return is that residents treat them respectfully and with consideration. They work together with the Factors in the interests of everyone in the development.
